Prague On A Budget

Prague is a one of the most beautiful cities in Europe full of stories, architecture and culture. Prague is a great place to vacation in; also if you’re on a tight budget. The Czech Republic has not converted its currency system to Euros and is still using their own currency, so prices are generally lower than other European cities. If an “A La Carte Europe Tour” all-included luxury tour with a private driver-guide is not for you, you can still visit and tour Prague and not spend a fortune. In Prague you can find economical accommodations including centrally located hostels or apartment buildings that might not offer all of the accommodations a hotel does, but can significantly lower your expenses. In choosing a hostel, from the variety of Prague hostels, choose a hostel that is in the center of the Old Town in Prague. This way you can save time and money spent on transportation. Staying in a hostel in the centre of Prague, you will be within a walking distance from many of Prague’s major attractions.

Old And New Side By Side

Inexpensive PraguePrague’s architectural style includes a variety of genres in classical arts including Baroque, Neo-Renaissance and Gothic. Here are a few of the great architectural sights Prague has to offer: Prague Castle times back to the first century; the castle is engulfed in a sense of history and spirituality. Overlooking Prague, the view from the castle is a panoramic view of Prague. Within the castle you can visit St. Vitus Cathedral, and every hour you can see the guard change that is a remarkable experience full of tradition and style. By foot you can continue through the Prague Castle Steps towards Charles Bridge. In Charles’s Bridge you will find side-by-side old and new art. The Charles Bridge is lined with baroque statues over towering the bridge, and you can find here a local art market of artists selling their arts and crafts. In the medieval Old Town of Prague you can visit Old Town Square where you will find the Clock Tower with the famous Prague Astronomical Clock, known for its beautiful figurines that pop out every round hour accompanied by music. Also in Old Town Square you can visit the exquisite Church of St. Nicholas. Make sure to see the historical birthplace of novelist Franz Kafka, and the Metronome monument in Letna Park that symbolizes the Czech Republic’s fight for freedom and end of Stalinism in the Czech Republic. The Metronome site also offers a great outlook on the entire city. Don’t miss out on the local market just a walk away from Old Town Square, which is the best place for all of your gift shopping, where you will find souvenirs that are not overpriced. There are multiple of ways to see Prague’s attractions including by water, or by foot. There are different services offering sightseeing tours of Prague by a boat trip on the Vltava River, in this tour you can see all of the waterfront sites including Lesser Town. You can also use a walking tour service to see Prague by foot, these inexpensive group tours go through all the noted main attractions in Prague.
